Route 66, known by several names throughout the years including the “Mother Road,” “Main Street of America,” and the “Will Rogers Highway,” this old highway served travelers for more than 50 years, before totally succumbing to the “new and improved” interstate system.
The Titan II was a second-generation, 2-stage, silo-stored, silo-launched, liquid-propelled Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM).
It was stored in a hardened underground silo with its liquid propellant on board, so that it was ready to launch at all times.
On October 26, 1881, the Earp brothers face off against the Clanton-McLaury gang in a legendary shootout at the O.K. Corral in Tombstone, Arizona.
After silver was discovered nearby in 1877, Tombstone quickly grew into one of the richest mining towns in the Southwest.
